This time, first band.
Kids on the Mooooove!

I think i wanna try to be a music critic.
Not seriously thou, but maybe like those independently underground ones?
I've been hearing lots of new stuffs from these new kids on the block.
Im giving these people a chance, and not just push them aside (like most people do) just because they're 'new'.
But then again, who am i to even be a critic, to say these kids are new players, am i right?
Im not saying this blindly. I mean, i do realise im a nobody in the scene too.
So what holds me the right to judge and talk about them? My respect.
We all gotta start somewhere. My respect goes out to them for trying to make things happen for their bands and even for themselves and hopefully, they'll see success in it too.

There's too many to name, Fall of Mirra, Lepak, Ebony's Call (yes, them), Dark Ulver, Ragdoll Epilogue.
And im just stating these band names from one side of a genre. There are SO many other genres with new players these days and i dont think no one actually gives them an ear, not even for a minute or two except for the band's closest friends maybe?
Now that is sad. So much for the talk about supporting the local scene.
Well yeah, i talk too much too. I dont go for the new player's shows just yet.
But i do lend my support whenever i have the chance.

Now back to the few band names which i've just stated.
Im sure at first sight most of you will go like, "huh? wtf, (insert band name)?"
Yeah, i gotta be honest, i used to have that reaction too.
But after giving them a listen, damn, i take that back.
Sure some songs are not of "international quality" and what not, but hey, point is, they're making progress and instead of blabbering how lousy their riff is, or how un-creative their music writing is, we should be encouraging them in all sincerity for their progress, passion and willingness to be a part of all this scene shit.

(Of cause i still dont give a shit to bands whose members are all in this to look good and pretty but when on stage they dont sound good and pretty at all. Some of them even act/behave like they're already superstars before/during/after they hit the stage, with their groupies following them around like left over shits. But my que to showcase my humble middle finger is when their badly covered music kicks in. And upon hearing their imitation zoo bear growls and pig oinks, i got my last straw and get really disgusted.)

Now, lets test if you're one of those who would give them a listen,
or just bypass this like any other person would. (but first, you might wanna stop the music player on the right of your screen before playing the one below.) :]

Honestly, im hooked to these two tracks.

Ebony's song is straight up modern metal/hardcore kinda bands. But it's still nice nonetheless. This number is heavily infested with breakdowns. But the part which really got me is at the 1.07th minute. Vocals blend well with the music too. Definately one of those songs which kept my head nodding, anytime. [6.5/10]

Painless Splendour is one of Ragdoll's first track ever made (i guess), and im confident that'll be one of their best too. Awesome song arrangement. It reminds me of the tunes of Black Dahlia Murder very much. Vocals cant get any sweeter then that. However this recording, can be better with more solid-ness so to say. If only the last breakdown would be much tighter and a lil more faster. And the lyrics are nicely written too. Im sure going to be looking forward for their next piece of work. [8/10]
